Adopted Dogs Winter 2014/2015

Maxine - An approximately one-year old Italian Greyhound Mix

Maxine in Her New Home

Maxine traveled from Hazeljane's Blessings in OK to Hazeljane's PA base, and from there to her adoptive home.  This adoption was a cooperative effort between Hazeljane's Blessings and Italian Greyhound Place, with Italian Greyhound Place locating and recommending Maxine's adopter, and Hazeljane's Blessings rescuing, fostering, and vetting her. Maxine's adopter traveled from NY to PA to adopt her and is providing her with lots of love, care, attention, and outings! Maxine was adopted on 2/28/15!

Bugatti - An eight-year old Italian Greyhound in New York

Bugatti - an eight-year old Italian Greyhound in New York

Welcome to Italian Greyhound Place, Bugatti!

2/5/15: Bugatti is now in the care of Italian Greyhound Place and is in a foster home. The information below was provided by his previous owner prior to his entry into rescue. This information will be updated as Bugatti's foster mom gets to know him.

Bugatti has a potential adopter, so no need for updated information!

In his current home, Bugatti is crated quite a bit. This situation is due to Bugatti's less than stellar housetraining and his owner not being home enough to let him out and spend time with him. Therefore, Bugatti is in need of a new home with someone able to be with him more than not, and with patience to work with him. When not crated, Bugatti wears a belly band, but will urinate in it.

This blue (grey) Italian Greyhound has been in the same home since puppyhood and is good with people, including children (there is a ten year-old in his current home), dogs, and cats. Bugatti is crate trained and stays in a crate when left alone; is "average" on leash and could benefit from loose-leash training (Italian Greyhound Place would be glad to provide information on this); and only barks when someone knocks on the door.

When indoors, Bugatti is very mellow and relaxes quietly, but when brought to an enclosed park or area to run, this guy knows he's an Italian Greyhound! Bugatti is very loving and sweet, totally enjoys snuggling and cuddling and, if he could spend the day on someone's lap, that would be perfectly fine with him!

If you are interested in providing Bugatti with love, care, and his new home, please contact Italian Greyhound Place. (Listed 2/1/15)

Italian Greyhound Place is pleased to have rescued, fostered, and rehomed Bugatti to a wonderful man in MA who knew Bugatti was meant to be his when he viewed his photo. In addition to his new person, Bugatti gets to enjoy the company of his adopter's retired parents and two cats, play in a fenced yard, and go for lots of walks. Bugatti was adopted 2/21/15!
